The police arrested two persons in connection with separate incidents of mobile snatching in the city on Saturday.

The first incident was reported by one Purnima, a resident of Sector 34, who stated that while she was on her way to college on a bicycle two motorcycle-borne miscreants threatened her with a knife and snatched her phone on the cycle track at road separating Sector 35 and 43. Another incident of snatching was reported by Ankit, a Sector 52 resident, who alleged that his mobile phone was snatched by bike-borne miscreants near Spring Garden, Sector 53.

Separate cases were registered at the Sector 36 Police Station. During the investigation, it was found that same accused were involved in both incidents.

The accused identified as Arshdeep Singh (24) of Badmajra village and Damanpreet Singh (26) of Kumbra village in Mohali were arrested and the snatched mobile phones recovered from them.
