Two arrested for teen’s murder in Manimajra

The police have cracked the murder case of a 19-year-old boy in Manimajra by arresting two 18-year-old suspects and recovering the weapon used in the crime.

The suspects were identified as Aakash, alias Billa, and Prince, both residents of New Indira Colony.

The incident had occurred near Kheda Mandir, VIP Gali in New Indira Colony, on Saturday night. The police had received information about a youth bleeding on the street.

The victim, identified as Sanjeet, a resident of Sector 16, Panchkula, was rushed to the Government Multi-Specialty Hospital in Sector 16 where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.

A murder case was registered at the IT Park police station on Sunday.

An investigation team led by Inspector Usha Rani arrested the two suspects. A knife used in the attack was recovered from Aakash, and relevant sections of the Arms Act were added to the case.
