Two arrested with 39,000 lomotil pills

The police have nabbed two persons and recovered 39,000 pills of lomotil drug from them. The suspects have been identified as Satnam Singh, alias Satta (32), of Rasoolpur Jor village and Gulzar Singh, alias Gari (38), of Bhatedi Kalan village.
The Patiala SSP, Vikramjit Duggal, said a police party had laid a naka near Daulatpur village on Wednesday. The police personnel stopped a three-wheeler for checking at the naka, he added. On search, two men travelling in three-wheeler were found carrying 39,000 pills of lomotil drug, he said.
Earlier, Satnam used to work as bus conductor, he added. Two cases were already registered against him at different police stations for different crimes, he said. The police arrested the suspects and registered a case under the NDPS Act.
