Chandigarh: The UT police have registered two cases against unidentified persons for defying the District Magistrate’s order on bursting of crackers. The police had received information about crackers being busted in Sector 17 and 7 on November 2. Cases under Section 223 of the BNS have been registered by the police.

Chandigarh: A cheating case has been registered at the Sector 17 police station on a complaint filed by Sukhwinderpal Singh of Sector 22. He reported that Varun allegedly cheated him out of Rs 10 lakh. The police have started an investigation into the case.

3 flightS diverted to Chandigarh

Mohali: Three flights were diverted from Amritsar to Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport, Chandigarh, on Saturday. The Dubai-Amritsar, Mumbai-Amritsar and Ahmedabad-Amritsar flights landed at Chandigarh airport.

Robbery: Cops examine CCTV

Mohali: A day after a robbery at gunpoint at a liquor vend, the police said they were scanning closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera footage of the incident and probing the case from all angles. Four armed youths fired gunshots and looted a Rs 10,000 from liquor vend near Mamta Enclave in Dhakoli around 11.10 pm on Saturday. Salesman Manoj Kumar and vend owner Deepak Sandhu were injured in the attack.
