The police have booked two persons for cheating a Mohali resident. Himmat Singh, a resident of Abhipur village, reported that Manpreet Singh, alias Monti, and Rajbir, both from Sector 17, cheated him out of Rs 29.31 lakh on the pretext of providing visa. The police have registered a case and started an investigation.

ATM swap: Man loses Rs 2 Lakh

Chandigarh: A person reportedly swapped an ATM card and withdrew Rs 2.10 lakh from the victim’s account. Mahavir Prasad, a Mohali resident, reported that the money was withdrawn from his account between November 26 and 29. The police have registered a case at the Sector 36 police station.

Grocery shop burgled in city

In his complaint to the police, Vivek Goswami has alleged that an unidentified person broke into his shop in Sector 39 on the night of December 4 and stole 11kg ghee, groceries, toiletries and Rs 40,000 in cash. The police have registered a case and started an investigation.
