A Nayagaon resident, Salja Walia has alleged that Samir Ahmed and Abdul Rasid cheated her out of Rs 1.42 lakh on the pretext of providing Qatar visa. A cheating case has been registered at the Sector 17 police station.

Mobile, cash stolen from car

A resident of Eco City, New Chandigarh, has reported that a mobile phone, earphones, Aadhaar card and cash were stolen from a car parked in the Sector 35 market on April 3. A theft case has been registered at the Sector 36 police station.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
