The suspects, directors of Macro Group Private Limited in the Industrial Area, Phase 1, lured the complainant to invest Rs2.5 crore in a two-wheeler company for higher returns. The suspects refused to entertain Nagpal after receiving the money, the police said.

The complainant alleged that the suspects were introduced to them as employees of a prominent two-wheeler company, they said.

A case under Sections 420, 467, 468, 471 and 120-B of the Indian Penal Code has been registered against the suspects at the Phase 1 police station. — TNS
