Two cops hurt as vehicle overturns in Kharar

Two cops of the PCR wing of the Sadar Kharar police had a miraculous escape when the vehicle in which they were travelling in overturned after passing over a partially open manhole in the middle of the road under a flyover in Kharar early this morning.

The injured cops were admitted to the Kharar Civil Hospital. A partially open manhole lid is said to be the cause behind the accident.

Kharar SDM Himanshu Jain, who was passing by, said he would direct the department concerned to rectify the shortcomings and make it safe for road users.

People said earlier also a similar accident took place due to this manhole.
