Chandigarh, November 22

The 7th editions of the two-day litfest, Literati-2019, will kick-off at the Chandigarh Lake Club tomorrow.

The event is being organised by the Chandigarh Literary Society (CLS). Manoj Parida, Adviser to the UT Administrator, will be the guest of honour, while Padma Shri awardee Dr Bibek Debroy, Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Economic Advisory Council, will deliver the key address.

Dr Debroy is credited with translating some of the prominent epics and Vedas into English.

Today, members of the team literati, including Vivek Atray, CJ Singh, Hardeep Chandpuri, Saguna Jain, Raavi, Suparana Saraswati, shared a poster of the festival with the media at the Lake Club.

Afternoon session will be undertaken by engineer and innovator Sonam Wangchuk, who inspired the ‘Three Idiots’ movie’s character of Aamir Khan. He will speak on ‘The Heart of the Matter: Innovation Reimagined’.

Mihir Dalal who wrote the Flipkart success story, and corporate executive Ankur Bisen whose book on urban waste management is a hit, will join the panel of guests with Shoolini University’s Vice-Chancellor (VC) Atul Khosla.

Cast of Panjabi movie ‘Chann Pardesi’ will also be present.
