Chandigarh, November 7

Two more people died from coronavirus in Chandigarh on Saturday while 98 new cases pushed the union territory’s infection count to 15,025, according to a bulletin.

So far, 232 people have succumbed to the infection in the joint capital of Punjab and Haryana. 

There are 815 active cases as of now, the bulletin said.

A total of 53 patients were discharged after they recovered from the infection, taking the number of cured persons to 13,978, as per the bulletin.

So far, 1,14,773 samples have been taken for testing, of which 99,067 tested negative while reports of 127 samples are awaited, it said. — PTI
