Two snatchings have taken place in the city. A bike-borne miscreant sped away after snatching a woman’s bag containing cash and documents in Sector 22 on April 14. Surinder Singh of Dariya village reported that Mukesh, alias Mogli, of Mauli Jagran snatched his mobile phone at the grain market in Sector 26 on April 13. —TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
