A local court sentenced Ram Kumar and Deepak Kumar to undergo 10 years of rigorous imprisonment and imposed Rs 1 lakh fine on each convict in an NDPS case.

The convicts were found carrying 60 injections (31 injections of buprenorphine 2 ml each and 29 injections of pheniramine melate 10 ML each) without any permit/licence.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
