The police arrested two individuals for allegedly stealing jewellery and a substantial sum of cash from a house in Mauli Jagra.

A team led by SSP Kanwardeep Kaur and SP City Geetanjali made the arrests.

The burglary was reported on April 26 by Rakesh Kumar, a goldsmith from Mauli Jagran. Kumar claimed that upon returning home from Haridwar, he discovered his house had been broken into, with gold and silver jewellery, as well as Rs 20 lakh being stolen.

After thorough investigation, the suspects were identified and apprehended near the railway line in Vikas Nagar, Mauli Jagran.

The stolen gold jewellery and Rs 12 lakh was recovered from the possession of the accused, who have been identified as Karan Singh and Manoj Kumar.
