Two held with heroin, pistol

The Anti-Narcotics Cell has arrested two youths with a country-made pistol and heroin. Following a tip-off on Monday, the police arrested the two youths, who were in a car, near the Alipur-Khangsara road.

The accused have been identified as Mayank Singh (24), a resident of Hangola village; and Sandeep Kumar, alias Latru (32), of Khangsara village. The police recovered a country-made pistol and 33.04 grams of heroin from Mayank, and 10.22 grams of heroin from Sandeep.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
