The investigation, led by Om Parkash, SHO of Sector-49 police station, involved an exhaustive review of footage from over 110 CCTV cameras and verification of multiple offenders. The probe revealed that the attack stemmed from a prior altercation in a school bathroom, where the victim, Shivam Singh, had a scuffle with a group of juveniles. The confrontation turned into a vendetta, culminating in the brutal assault.
