Two persons died in a road mishap near Balongi on the Kharar-Chandigarh road.

The deceased were identified as Daun resident Paramveer Singh, 35, and Ashish Kumar, a resident of Bilaspur. The incident took place when a bike being driven by Nitesh Sharma with Paramveer riding pillion rammed into Ashish, who was standing on the roadside.

A case has been registered against Nitesh at the Balongi police station for negligent driving.
