Chandigarh, July 24

The police have arrested two suspects and recovered 10 stolen mobile phones from their possession. The suspects have been identified as Ehsaan Mohammad (29), a resident of Sector 56, and Sonu, alias Kaka (28), a resident of Bathinda. A case has been registered against them. The police said Ehsaan was arrested from the bus stand, while Sonu was arrested from Mani Majra. Sector 17 SHO Ram Rattan Sharma said Ehsaan was on Saturday produced in a court, which sent him to two-day police remand. Sonu will be produced in a court on Sunday. — TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
