Two new Covid-19 cases reported in Chandigarh

Chandigarh on Saturday reported two new cases of Covid-19 taking the total number of infections to 65,299.

The death toll in the city remained 820.

As many as 1533 samples were tested in the last 24 hours and a positivity rate of 0.13 per cent was recorded.

Four patients were discharged, including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per Ministry of Health guidelines.

The number of active cases is 28 while 64,451 people have recovered till date.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
