Speaking on the occasion, MLA Kulwant said the MC now had four of its own mechanical sweeping machines to clean all ‘A’ and ‘B’ roads, along with this, it has some small machines to clean the ‘C’ type roads in the city mechanically.

Responding to a question on holding the Punjab Government responsible for the problem of removing garbage from the city, the MLA said it was the MC’s responsibility to maintain cleanliness in the city thus it was the MC officials that must be held responsible. He said Mohali was the only city in Punjab which had mechanical sweeping machines.
