In line with directives from the Additional Chief Secretary of the state's Home Department and the Director General of Police, the Commissioner of Police has approved the promotion of two officers to Honorary Inspectors. ESI Rajesh Kumar (796/PKL) and ESI Surinder Singh (241/PKL) have earned this recognition for their 35 years of dedicated service and exemplary records. The promotions acknowledge their commitment to the police force.

The recognition comes one month before their respective retirement dates, with the promotions effective on February 1, 2025, for Kumar and April 1, 2025, for Singh. The move aligns with the state government's policy of honouring long-serving officers who have consistently upheld the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
