The police today apprehended two people for allegedly snatching cash from a woman’s bag in Solan, Himachal Pradesh.

According to the information, the accused fled towards Panchkula in a taxi. Upon receiving the alert, Panchkula police set up checkpoints and conducted thorough checks of suspicious vehicles.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Manpreet Singh Sudan said a team set up a strategic checkpoint near the petrol pump at Singh Dwar lights.

The police team successfully intercepted the vehicle in question and, after on-the-spot questioning, managed to confirm the identities of the suspects.

Following initial investigation, both accused were taken into custody and handed over to the Himachal Pradesh Police for further action.
