The police have arrested two women who are involved in 67 cases of theft, snatching and drugs in Punjab and Chandigarh.

Surjit Kaur of Nawanshahr had complained that on April 13, two women stole a gold bangle from her hand while she was boarding a bus outside the PGI. The police arrested Satya (65) and Gurmeeto (70) the next day and recovered one gold bangle and a cutter from their possession. They confessed stealing another gold bangle from at the PGI on March 8. It was also recovered from them. —
