Chandigarh, May 17

The Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN) will hold proceedings of the Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum on May 21 between 10 am and 4 pm at the Executive Engineer office, Panchkula. The chairman and members of the forum will participate in it.

While giving information in this regard today, an official spokesperson for the corporation said members of the forum would take up the problems of consumers, primarily related to billing, voltage, complaints regarding meters, connection, power cut offs, efficiency, safety, unreliability and non-compliance of orders of the Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission.

However, punishment and fine in cases related to power theft and misuse of power under Sections 126 and 135 to 139 of the Electricity Act and power-related investigations and mishaps under Section 161 will not be taken up by the forum.
