Chandigarh declares 27 more affected areas micro-containment zones

The UT Administration today declared 27 affected areas in the city as micro-containment zone in order to break the chain of coronavirus transmission.
UT Adviser Manoj Parida said the issue was examined by a committee following which the decision on more micro-containment zones was taken. The affected areas declared as micro-containment zone are parts of Sectors 15, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23. 27, 29, 32-A, 32-D, 35-A, 37-A, 38-D,40-C, 41-A, 42-B, 46-B, 46-D, 47, 52 and 63, Pipliwala Town, Indira Colony, Behlana, Mauli Jagaran and Vikas Nagar.
The UT Administration also modified four micro-containment zones. The modification was done on the basis of a recommendation received from the Affected Areas Assessment Committee in parts of Sectors 15, 21 and 42-C and Shanti Nagar, Mani Majra. The modified containment zones are house number 3331-3335 in Sector 15; 100-109 and 137 in Sector 21; 2237-2240 and 2241-2244 in Sector 42-C; and parts of Gali No 8, Shatri Nagar, Mani Majra.
Restrictions removed
The UT Administration today removed restrictions from five micro-containment zones in the city. The curbs have been removed from house numbers 1197-1205 and 1198-1206 in Sector 15; 2512-2513 in Sector 19; 497, 498, 499, 500, 501, 508, 509, 510, 511 and 512 in EWS Colony, Dhanas; 120, 121, 121/122, 126/1 and 126/A in Hallo Majra; and 610-620 in Ram Darbar.
