UT dept sets up help desk for registration of MSME units

The Department of Industries, UT, has set up a help desk to provide hassle-free services for the registration of existing and new MSME units on the Udyam Registration portal.

The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), Government of India, has launched the Udyam Registration (UR) portal for the registration of MSMEs and advised that all MSMEs, which had registered up to June 30, 2020, have to migrate from the Udyog Aadhaar Memorandum (UAM) to the Udyam Registration as the UAM verification service was dropped with effect from April 1, 2021, but the migration facility was still in place.

Accordingly, the Department of Industries, acting as a single-window facilitation centre in the UT, has set up a help desk to provide hassle-free services for the registration of existing/new MSME units on the Udyam Registration portal. If any person, who is not able to register on the Udyam Registration portal for any reason, he/she may visit the help desk officer at the District Industries Centre, Industrial Area, Phase II, Chandigarh, who will facilitate him/her for the registration process.
