Former MP Satya Pal Jain thanked Union Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan for sanctioning CGHS dispensaries one each for Chandigarh and Panchkula and also for sanctioning of staff of medical officer, pharmacist, clerk and staff nurse for each of these two dispensaries.

The Ministry issued a notification to this effect yesterday. In a letter to Dr Harsh Vardhan, Jain said Central Government employees settled in Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula had been demanding the opening of at least five CGHS dispensaries in and around Chandigarh. With the sanctioning of these two more dispensaries, the total number of CGHS dispensaries in the tricity has increased to three. Jain urged the UT Administrator to allot a suitable place for the dispensary in Chandigarh. — TNS
