A valedictory parade was held today at the Chandigarh Police Recruit Training Centre, Sector 26, to mark the successful completion of promotion courses by 172 police personnel. The batch comprised 61 assistant sub-inspectors, who completed the upper school course and 111 head constables, who completed the inter-mediate school course.

Inspector General of Police, UT Chandigarh, Pushpendra Kumar was the chief guest. He inspected the parade and commended the trainees for their discipline and performance. The ceremony featured an impressive parade, followed by a band display, mass PT demonstration and tattoo show by trainees.

Outstanding performers were felicitated with trophies and commendation certificates for their exemplary conduct during the training. In the upper school course category, ASI Silak Ram secured first position, while ASI Satyavir Singh stood second. Kanwalpal Singh and Jaimal Singh bagged the first and second positions, respectively, in the inter-mediate school course.

Addressing the gathering, the IGP lauded the efforts of the training team, including the course and drill Instructors and support staff for their role in shaping the officers.
