In the ongoing Gurukul Global 37th Chandigarh State Table Tennis Championships, Vani, Vishal and Pelf claimed titles of their respective categories, respectively.

Vani defeated Teetiksha 11-4, 11-8, 11-4 to win the girls’ U-17 title. In the boys’ U-17 final, Vishal outplayed Vadya 11-3, 11-7, 11-5.

In the girls’ U-19 category, Pelf won the title by defeating Vani 14-12, 11-5, 11-7. In the boys’ U-19 quarterfinals, Vadya recorded a comeback by defeating Neelesh 8-11, 11-9, 11-6, 9-11, 11-8, Vishal defeated Vihaan 6-11, 11-4, 11-2, 11-3, Pritish ousted Aditya 16-14, 11-6, 9-11, 11-3 and Bhavya defeated Samarth 11-5, 8-11, 7-11, 11-8, 11-7.

Garvita, Parth, Vani, Vadya record wins

Garvita defeated Pratiti 11-8, 10-12, 11-9, 11-9 to win the girls’ U-13 title. Parth won the boys’ U-13 gold medal by defeating Arpit 11-7, 11-13, 11-9, 11-6. In the girls’ U-15 title clash, Vani ousted Aanya 11-5, 11-4, 11-4, 11-3 to pocket the title without any hassle.

Vadya recorded a comeback win over Abhinav Kaushik to win the boys’ U-15 title. He won the first two games 11-6, 11-6, but Kaushik bounced back by winning the next 8-11. In the next game, Vadya won 11-9, but Kaushik again fought back by winning the next game 9-11. In the decider, Vadya kept his calm to log an 11-8 win.
