After lifting the U-17 titles, Vani Sharma and Vishal Garg continued their winning streak and also clinched U-19 titles at the 1st Chandigarh State Ranking Table Tennis Tournament-2025, organised by Chandigarh Table Tennis Association, at the Sector 50 Sports Complex.

In the girls’ U-19 final, Vani won a close fight against Cherrish Chhabra. She clinched the first two games 11-7 11-6, but Cherrish bounced back in the next two by recording a 13-15 2-11 win. In the decider, Vani held her nerves to log a 11-8 win for the title.

In semifinals, Cherrish logged an identical win over Teetiksha Goel. Despite being down by 5-11 5-11, she registered a stunning 16-14 11-6 11-3 comeback, while Vani picked Prabhleen Kaur 11-8 11-7 11-9.

In quarterfinals, Cherrish defeated Paridhi 11-2 11-6 11-5, Teetiksha beat Maira Kapoor 9-11 11-8 11-9 11-7, Prabhleen Kaur beat Sherell Chhabra 9-11 11-9 8-11 12-10 11-5 and Vani outplayed Princi 11-4 11-2 11-7.

Garg won the boys’ U-19 title by blanking Neelesh 11-8 11-8 15-13. In semis, Neelesh faced a tough resistance from Vadya Chawla before recording a 9-11 11-9 6-11 11-9 13-11 win, while Garg defeated Pritish Sood 11-9 8-11 7-11 11-5 11-9. In quarterfinals, Garg defeated Bhavya Yadav 11-6 11-7 11-9, Sood ousted Aditya 7-11 11-8 11-5 12-10, Neelesh beat Vihaan Dhalla 4-11 11-5 11-4 5-11 11-5, and Chawla defeated Parth Malhotra 6-11 11-4 11-6 11-7.
