Varun Jain claimed gold medal in the road race event by clocking 1.51:20 at the Chandigarh State Road Cycling Championship, organised by the Chandigarh Amateur Cycling Association. Vikram Seth (01.52:24) claimed the second position, while Nakul Sehgal (1.52:24s) finished third.

In the men U-23 event, Mukul Deep (1.47:50s), Akshat Sindhu (1.52:16s) and Ishan Deshwal (1.52:32s) clocked the best timings, while in the women’s elite event, Reet Kapoor topped with 1.17:21 followed by Swati Sablok (1.25:37) and Amandeep Kaur (1.35:43).

In the junior category, Mehakpreet Singh (1.52:58) and Arnav (2.05:27s) won medals, while in the women’s event, Punyaa Datta (1.26:07) bagged the gold medal, followed by Rehat Kapoor (1.31:04). In the boys’ sub-junior category, Shauryaveer Singh Ahlawat clocked 1.22:28 to grab gold, while Saksham Dalal (1.22:29) finished second and Bhavik Katal (1.22:30) claimed the third position.
