The police intercepted a vehicle containing unhygienic food items near Phase II. The bags of soya chaap loaded in the car were foul-smelling and kept in unhygienic conditions. The police called a health department team to collect samples.

The driver, Avinash, was delivering the food items from Jhampur to various food eateries in the area. A fine was imposed on the owner.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
