Chandigarh lads bagged maximum points on the basis of their first innings lead from a draw against Vidarbha during the Vijay Merchant Trophy at Cuttack. Chasing Chandigarh’s first innings 257 runs, Vidarbha lads bundled out for 227 runs. Krishan Tiwari remained the main scorer for the side as he posted 78 off 137 balls, with nine boundaries, while Arnav Sinha added unbeaten 49 off 156 balls, with four boundaries. Gaganpreet Singh took four wickets, while Anish Mittal and Shivam Nagrath claimed two each for the bowling side.

In their second innings, Chandigarh lads were playing at 118/3, when the match ended. Udayveer (60 off 87 balls ) and Balraj Singh (33 off 58 balls ) remained the main scorers for the side.
