Bengal beat Punjab by seven wickets in an Elite – D group match of Vinoo Mankad Trophy at ECIL Ground in Hyderabad today.

Batting first, Punjab U-19 boys were bowled out for 158 runs in 47 overs. Mayank Gupta (38), Krish Bhagat (28) and Manroopsingh (26) made useful contributions to the total.

Amrit Raj Upadhyay claimed 4/25 for Bengal, while Debopratim Halder took 3/26.

In reply, Bengal boys achieved the target in 26.1 overs with skipper Abishek Porel hitting a brisk 74. Rohit Ram made 42 runs.

Punjab eves triumph

Punjab girls beat Tripura by 153 runs in an Inter-State Women’s U-19 One Day Trophy match in Jaipur on Friday. Batting first, Punjab made 214/6 in 50 overs. In reply, Tripura were all out for 61. Muskan Sogi (5/13) and Mannat Kashyap (4/8) did the maximum damage.
