One more fatality was witnessed due to Covid-19 in the district during the past 24 hours, taking the death toll to 374.

Meanwhile, 25 fresh cases surfaced in the district, while 39 more patients recovered from the virus.

Among the new cases, 16 were reported from Mohali (urban), two each from Dhakoli and Kharar and five from Gharuan.

The district has so far seen 19,662 cases, while 18,890 patients have been cured. There are now 398 active cases in the district.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
