The Deputy Mayor gave him a special welcome and discussed issues related to the Mohali constituency. District Congress Committee’s newly appointed president Kamal Sharma was also present on the occasion.
Warring said he came straight from Sri Anandpur Sahib to meet Deputy Mayor Bedi and was gathering ground-level feedback regarding the public issues of Mohali. Warring said he wanted to know public opinion on all ground-level issues so that strategies could be prepared for upcoming elections.
Warring appeared extremely serious about the rise of gangsterism in Mohali. He said Mohali had become a hub of gangsters. He said, “Every fourth house receives an extortion call. Out of a hundred people, only one reports it to the police. The rest quietly pay the extortion amount.”
