Chandigarh, July 9

The Chandigarh Skill Development Mission (CSDM) has launched a series of webinars to mark World Youth Skill Day on July 15.

The CSDM, in collaboration with India Skills, has decided to celebrate the day through digitisation/online interaction mode. The webinars that began on July 7 will continue till July 15. All winners and participants of WorldSkill Competition 2019 have come forward to share their technical and personal experiences with youngsters of the city.

Several technical intuitions are supporting the organisation of webinars. Sachin Rana, Special Secretary, Technical Education-cum-Mission Director, CSDM, said: “Sharing of knowledge is an essential ingredient of skill development. Webinar by young and experienced experts is an excellent opportunity for students to increase their skill set.”

He said during the celebration series, 35 skill domains such as web technology, cloud computing, electronics, mobile robotics, automobile repair, car painting, auto body repair, floristry, hair and beauty therapy, fashion technology, virtual merchandising, bakery, cooking, restaurant service, welding, CNC turning and water technology would be covered.
