The DC appealed to farmers to apply online through the department’s official portal to avail of this facility. She further informed that the subsidized seed will remain available until the district and block-level targets are achieved.

Chief Agriculture Officer Dr Gurmail Singh said a total target of 950 quintals of wheat seed has been allotted for district Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar. “Farmers can obtain more information by contacting their respective circle or block-level Agriculture Officers,” he added.

Singh also informed that, under the Free Wheat Seed Distribution Scheme for flood-affected farmers, a total of 383 quintals of wheat seed will be distributed free of cost to eligible beneficiaries.
