“I asked him to apologise for hitting a person the other day. But he came from behind and attacked me with a stick in an inebriated condition,” Sandeep said.

He alleged that the accused usually came to the office in an inebriated condition. District Wildlife Inspector Panchkula Surjeet said the matter had been brought to his knowledge. “Injured Sandeep Sahu is being treated at Civil Hospital, Sector 6. The department officials have been apprised of the matter and we will initiate action against the two individuals,” he said.
