Addressing a gathering in Raipur Rani, Singh said the Narendra Modi government played an important role in freeing Indian students stuck in Ukraine during the war. He said, “Modi made phone calls to the leaders of the two countries, following which the war was halted for four hours for evacuation of Indian students.”

Seeking votes for Shakti Rani Sharma and Gian Chand Gupta, the party candidates for the Kalka and Panchkula Assembly seats, respectively, the Defence Minister said the BJP would provide more than 1.50 lakh government jobs in Haryana. “We have provided 1.5 lakh government jobs in Haryana and will provide even more in the next five years if brought to power,” he assured.

“We will bring a bill for ‘one nation one election’ so as to cut expenditure incurred on separate polls,” he said.

The Union minister said under the BJP rule, Haryana’s GDP increased to Rs 10 lakh crore. He said the BJP had announced revocation of Article 370 in 1991 and did it on coming to power under Narendra Modi. Drawing a contrast, he said the Congress had a history of putting a stop on development wherever it came to power. “They have even failed to announce their CM candidate. But the BJP is not facing this situation as Nayab Singh Saini will be our CM after the formation of government,” he said.

He said, “Vote for Congress if you want to destroy Haryana, and for BJP if you want development.”

In her address, Shakti Rani spoke about drug menace in Kalka. She said many youths of Kalka had been affected due to drugs. “We have included the matters of all areas of Kalka in our manifesto. Today, the people do not get clean drinking water. The MLA failed to focus on the area in the past five years. I assure you to rid the area of drug menace and other issues,” she said.

Shakti Rani announced the party’s assurances for Raipur Rani, including establishment of a college for girls, a food processing unit and making it a subdivision. The leaders also released the party manifesto for Raipur Rani on the occasion.
