Mohali Deputy Commissioner Girish Dayalan today thanked Wipro Enterprises Pvt Ltd for providing essential medical equipment to combat Covid-19 outbreak.

The Deputy Commissioner said the government was doing its best to address medical needs of residents affected by the pandemic.

Dayalan said proper medical equipment, which ensures large scale testing, was the need of the hour.

He said the firm has provided safety gear for corona warriors and a RT-PCR machine for testing.

He said the Indian Council of Medical Research approved RT-PCR machine and protective gear has been provided to new Covid lab set up at Punjab Biotechnology Incubator (PBTI).

Wipro has also promised to provide an RNA Extractor- testing machine to the district soon.
