Out for a walk with her pet, a Landran resident died after being hit by a speeding vehicle near the Landran chowk today.

The victim, Mandeep Kaur, was rushed to a hospital by passersby where doctors declared her dead. She is survived by her husband, son and daughter. The police have registered a case of death by negligence at the Sohana police station and arrested the driver.
