Woman found dead in her office

Kharar, December 12

A woman was found dead in her office on Thursday. The deceased has been identified as Sharanjit Kaur, a resident of Desumajra village, who used to provide tuitions at SCO No. 3 in Ghibby Complex near water tank in the village.

Paramjeet Singh, husband of the deceased, told the police that he married Sharanjit in 2000. We have two children one boy and a girl, he said.

He said she went to her office at 10.30 am in the morning and her mobile phone went switched off after around 11.45 am. When she was not answering the calls they all went to her office and found that she was lying on the floor and her mouth was filled with blood.

He told the police that he did not know anything regarding the death of his wife.

Amandeep Singh, SHO, Kharar Sadar police, said the real cause of death would be known only after the post-mortem. He said at present the Kharar Sadar police have initiated proceedings under Section 174 CrPC.
