Woman found dead in Zirakpur

The decomposed body of an unidentified woman was found in a vacant plot on the Chandigarh-Ambala national highway in Zirakpur this afternoon. Passersby noticed the body and informed the police.

Zirakpur SHO Gagandeep Singh, along with a police team, reached the spot and inspected the crime scene. They sent the body to the mortuary of the Dera Bassi Civil Hospital. A case has been registered.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
