Five unidentified masked youths attacked a woman and her 12-year-old son with sharp weapons at her home in Kharar, on November 7 evening.

The victims, Deep Homes 2 residents Monika and Prithvi, sustained injuries and were admitted to a hospital. Monika said five-six masked men came in an SUV, barged into her house and attacked her.

She said a few days ago, she had an argument with some youths in the neighborhood while her son was playing.

As the victim raised the alarm, neigbours rushed to help her as miscreants fled in the SUV. The registration plate of the SUV was tampered with a sticker. The incident has been caught on CCTV camera. The cops are investigating the matter.
