The construction work of a 1.45 km long link road from Handesra Gugamarri village to Nagla Power Grid, being constructed at a cost of Rs 34.98 lakh will begin soon.

Dera Bassi MLA Kuljit Singh Randhawa said the newly constructed road will greatly ease the movement of local residents and facilitate the transport of agricultural produce, thereby boosting the area’s economy.

He added that improving connectivity, drainage, drinking water supply, and electricity facilities in villages are top priorities of the government.

The panches, sarpanches, leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and several local residents were present in large numbers for fulfilling this long-pending demand of the area.
