As many as 80 leading medical professionals from region attended workshop on integrated approach for cardiovascular diseases management at Max Hospital here today.

The workshop was organised in collaboration with the IMA, Mohali, and the Punjab Medical Council.

Dr Deepak Puri, Director of cardiovascular thoracic surgery, said nowadays, heart diseases were the leading cause of death – killing more than 17.2 million people every year across the globe. “Integrated approach involves team work and improves the outcome in management of heart disease,” said Dr Puri. — TNS
