Chandigarh: The police have nabbed Robin, alias Saurabh, 26, of Yamunanagar for cheating a city woman by befriending her on social media. The accused robbed victim of her Rs10,000, a phone, gold earrings and ATM cards on February 16. The victim told the police that Robin, posing as Shidharth Sharma of Ambala Cantt, befriended her on social media and on February 16 met her at the Sector 17 bus stand. The accused offered victim a cold drink laced with intoxicant and took her to hotel where he robbed her. A case has been registered at Sector 17 police station.
