Dilpreet Singh (18), one of the two youths who was stabbed by a group of six youths at Kumbhra village on November 13, succumbed to his injuries at the PGI today. The body was handed over to the kin after post mortem.

Kumbhra resident Damanpreet Singh was stabbed to death while Dilpreet Singh (16) was seriously injured in an attack on November 13. The fight started over a minor provocation as suspect Akash was hit by three youths who were on a bicycle. The trio called Damanpreet and Dilpreet for help and a verbal altercation ensued.

Akash left the place and returned later with other accomplices. The duo was then stabbed with sharp weapons.

The three suspects — Muzzaffarpur native Aman Taak (19), Arun of Kashipur and Akash of Hardoi — were arrested from near the CRPF camp at Tilak Nagar, New Delhi. A juvenile involved in the murder has also been apprehended.

After the news of boy’s death came, the police reached Kumbhra village to maintain law and order. Villagers are demanding compensation and government job for the kin of the deceased.
