Kalka MLA Shakti Rani Sharma called upon the youth to draw inspiration from the life of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel — the Iron Man of India — and to contribute actively towards strengthening the unity and integrity of the nation.

The leader was addressing a press conference organised today at Government Polytechnic, Sector 26, under the aegis of Mera Yuva Bharat led by District Youth Officer Snigdha Singh. The event was held to mark the birth anniversary celebrations of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

Meanwhile, District Youth Officer Snigdha Singh highlighted the inspiring life and contributions of Sardar Patel, urging young citizens to follow his ideals and uphold the values of national solidarity and nation-building.

The officer informed that as part of the nationwide celebrations of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s 150th birth anniversary, unity walks (padyatras) will be organised across the country — from village to block and district levels — from October 31 to November 26, featuring a range of activities aimed at promoting national integration.

During the press conference, Mera Yuva Bharat, Panchkula also unveiled the roadmap for upcoming youth padyatras and the National Unity Campaign.
