Monty, a 26-year-old labourer, was found dead, while Vedpal (21) was found injured on the night of July 11. During investigation, the police discovered that Vedpal, along with his relatives and friends, had come to attend a wedding at the community centre.

Vedpal was consuming liquor. Monty on seeing him asked for some liquor and snacks. When Vedpal refused, Monty stabbed Vedpal. Before Monty could escape, Rinku and Vishal, Vedpal’s friends, caught him.

The police said the duo then allegedly stabbed Monty with the same knife, leading to his death.
